Rev. David Fidler

I grew up in Virginia, in the Free state. I was 23 when I left the Free State to Joining Youth for Christ team, it was a ministry that went from school to school proclaiming the gospel through Dance, Drama and life skills. In 2000 I became a youth pastor at Vanderbijlpark Methodist Church. In 2001 I was married to Kirsty, my wife. I left Vanderbijl at the end of 2002 and became youth pastor at Brooklyn Methodist church. In 2005. I started my formal training to be a minister in the Methodist Church of Southern Africa. I spent 6 years being trained and formed for ministry in the church. We have three children, Lauren, Joshua and Ethan.

I celebrated my ordination in 2010 but have been in the ministry for 22 years I hold a Master of Theology degree and am currently pursuing a PhD in Theology. This should be completed by August 2023. I currently serve Valley Methodist church after relocating from Rustenburg Methodist church at the end of 2021.

I look forward to our stay here at Valley and serving the community that we are stationed at.

Blessings

Dave
